I am really needing to work on my left hand cross-string finger independence and was wondering what sort of suggestions I might solicit.

An awesome exercise for this is the 'Spider' that I first saw in John Pattitucci's video. It's documented in one of the stickies at the top of this forum.

Try that out and see how that goes!
