| Lou Barlow's Chord Technique

I was watching a Dinosaur Jr. video today and I was very interested in Lou Barlows technique. I've never seen anything quite like it. He slplits his bass signal so that it go's into a Ampeg SVT as well as a Marshall stack. And just wails on his bass with a pick, im curious how he makes this work when I tried doing this I just got a wall of mud. Is there anything I can do that wouldn't require putting on lighter gauge strings should I try to voice the chords diffrent? |
