Master of Puppets right hand help

More right hand questions from me.At 0:45 in this video, the strings being plucked are in a pattern of E E A, E E A, and continues. What's the most technically correct way of plucking this? 1 being index and 2 being middle, I currently use 1 1 2, 1 1 2, ect. but I feel that's very far from the right way.

1-2-1 1-2-1 1-2-1 1-2-1 1-2-1-2

rake down from the A to the E with your 1 finger every time.

Cliff didin't follow the guitar in that riff, check the original bassline, he stayed on the E string with a couple notes on the A string.

This. I can effortlessly play the line like this, but for me I have to reverse that pattern when the 'B' note at the end of the phrase gets plucked twice. Hopefully I don't make this confusing:

The notes: E F B E F C E F C# E F C E F B B

For this pattern I do exactly as what the post I quoted above, but when the bolded notes occur, I have to pluck the first B with the index and the second B with the middle, then the pattern reverses to where I'm raking down with the middle ringer. So before those bolded notes, it's 1-2-1-1-2-1-1-2-1 thing, then when I pluck that second bolded B note I just plucked it with the middle finger, so then I rake that down and restart the phrase but now it's 2-1-2-2-1-2-2-1-2-2-1-2.
