Most challenging fingerstyle songs

I thought it would be cool to compile a list of songs that feature bass parts that challenge your stamina and speed

The list begins
Iron Maiden-Caught Somewhere in Time
Iron Maiden - Losfer Words (Big Orra):
Iron Maiden - Rime of the Ancient Mariner
Gotta Match? - Chick Corea
Freedom Jazz Dance (melody)
Donna Lee (melody)
Not Ethiopia - Brecker Brothers (melody)
Teen Town - Jaco
Havona - Jaco
Endangered Species - Wayne Shorter
Cannibal Corpse- Hammer Smashed Face
Marcus miller-what is hip (not slapped)
Red hot chili peppers: parallel universe (not picked)
Alain Caron: Donna Lee (not slapped)

Jeff Berlin's "Bach":

Reggie Young's insane intro on "Giant Steps":
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XdG8EYETvUo

Anthony Jackson on Steve Khan's "The Suitcase":
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJXHsbT91pg

John Patitucci on "Got A Match"

It would be great to find some other gems that set right hand technique benchmarks.

Learning to cleanly play Talkin' Loud from Incognito is currently whippin' several aspects of my playing.

Donna Lee has always been a benchmark for different picking techniques for me, especially for 4 finger technique, awkward.

I have a few warm-up tunes but for stretching and strength in the first 5 frets for the left hand and string-crossing independence for the right, Bach's Cello Suite No1 in standard tuning not Cello.

OP, if you want some challenging RHCP songs to play fingerstyle, I would suggest "Cmon Girl" for right hand insanity and "So Much I" for some tough left hand work and fast right hand. Also, for insane speed and string skipping, there's the chorus of "Right on Time"

I know Flea isn't as revered on these forums as he is elsewhere on the 'net, but it's hard to deny that many of his parts require a LOT of strength to play as fast and consistently as he does.

To me, Red Hot Chili Pepper's Torture Me is pretty tiring for my fretting hand.

If you can take it,you should check out Cannibl Corpse. Their bassplayer Alex Webster is a fingerstyle-machine...

Well, in giant steps the melody is easy, but it is pretty difficult to improvise over it. on the other hand, confirmation by bird has a difficult to play melody but a much easier to play over chord progression.

"Cmon girl" was in my warm up routine years ago, id say it was singularly responsible for improving my technique in a matter of weeks

Marcus miller-what is hip (not slapped)
Red hot chili peppers: parallel universe (not picked)
Alain Caron: Donna Lee (not slapped)

The ones that kill me aren't the fast technical tunes, but rather the tunes with a single, repeating bass figure that I play over and over again for an entire 4 to 10 minute period. Chameleon is like that, also a Diggable Planets tune called "Pacifics" that we sometimes do. There's nothing challenging about the lick, but playing it over and over and over and over again makes my left hand want to fall off of my arm.

Roundabout- Yes,

pretty fast song, reasonably hard to get down. I can slap it faster and smoother than i can finger it. Thats probably because i slap too much

Any time I'm looking to practice for stamina, I put on Iron Maiden.
Iron Maiden - Losfer Words (Big Orra): Uptempo Iron Maiden goodness
Iron Maiden - Rime of the Ancient Mariner: 13 minutes of alternating easy passages and ridiculous riffing.

Also, check out Stranglehold by Ted Nugent. Stamina, but basically playing the exact same passage over and over and over and over and over...
