Music for an acoustic bass

Sign in to disble this ad
Howdy!
I'm getting ready to head over to Iraq, and I'm bringing an acoustic bass along (cheap, light, able to take a bullet).
I'm looking for some music that would lend itself to an acoustic bass--any suggestions? I sort of hear in my head a classical guitar-type of music. Is there anything like that out there? I'm looking for specific recommendations--I already have "Bach for Bass"--anything else?

Thanks!

Scott

ps I hope this it the right forum!

Thanks for the tips guys! I'm gonna check out the Nirvana stuff.
Does anyone know of any "solo" bass stuff that would be appropriate for an acoustic? Not talkin' slap or that sort of thing, rather something melodic that an AB can carry by itself.

See if you can find a copy of Jonas Hellborg's 'The Silent Life'. It's a solo bass album recorded entirely on an acoustic bass guitar. A word of warning: Hellborg's playing is not easy to copy!

CrazyArcher,
What program do you use for .gp3 files? That's a new one to me.
