Mutes when slapping

Sign in to disble this ad
Wondering if someone can help me here. I'm trying to improve my slapping technique and am trying to get that almost percustive, almost clicky sound interpersed with pops but no matter how hard I try it just doesn't sound write. Is it to do with putting in really fast mutes or left hand slap. Anyone got any ideas as to how I can imporve my technique? Any advice at all would be great.

Cheers

Mute the strings and pop them/thump them.

That's about it.
