hey guys, first post haha..

ok so ive been playing bass for a year or so but i think all the time ive put into it hasnt helped me at all, literaly at all..

I know the names of all the notes but only a very small ammount i can find without taking time to do it. i can improvise very poorly.

Any recommendations? id really like to know the fretboard notation as soon as possible and the best improvising techniques possible.

Any other information would be appreciated as well.

Thanks

The notes repeat themselves in the same order all over the fret board. B is next to C etc, it is the same. You dont have to think of it as a new area, it is the same area put in a different part of the fretboard. Also I would get a paper that shows all the key signatures, and play major scales in all keys.
