I put the bass down for a day and went exploring to see what else can be of use to me in my thirst for something different in my sunset years. This came to mind as an inspiration, that with all the slapping, tapping, Wootenizing, and amplification we saturate ourselves with every day, there are times I have to step back and listen.

I recently got his CD "The Legendary Andres Segovia In an All Bach Program. It's phenomenal.

I like having a wide variety of CDs in my car so I can pick something out no matter what I'm in the mood for. This was a fun disc to add to the April Wine, Chick Corea, Metallica, Rare Earth, The Hooters, and Sarah McLachlan CDs that are already in there now.

EDIT - No argument that Segovia is the master! But Christopher Parkening is also worth checking out. He got some high praise from Segovia when he was just starting to make a name for himself. I have a few of his CDs, also.

Yeah, I suck, I know that. But at least I suck a little less than I did yesterday.

I recently became a fan of David Russell. His technique is incredible.
