Put your thumb on a pickup and practice playing scales with at least two fingers, alternating each pluck.
Start slow.
That's pretty much all the help you can get, you must do the rest yourself.

try and play with your fingertips aswell, once you get used to it youll feel alot more gracefull and can play smooth and fast, well for me anyway

Make sure that your fingers pluck the strings in a direction that's parallel to the body of the bass, not plucking downward. It'll help get rid of some fret noise.

Keep your nails clipped short, at least until you get better at fingerstyle playing.
Otherwise, you might find your nails hitting the strings too often.

think about learning the "floating thumb" technique .. it will greatly help muting when moving to higher strings.
