Drummer's girlfriend wants me to teach her bass.

Gonna give her my backup 4 to get a feel for the instrument for a few weeks. If she likes it we can move on.

Question is, do I leave the action very low, or would a higher (about medium) action be better for her to kick off?

Any thoughts?

Just an opinion (because I don't think there are any "right" answers to this question) but I would probably set the action to a medium height for a week or two while she practices, then set it low for a couple of weeks and see which one she likes better.

Trouble

I would steer clear of my drummer's girlfriend... and set up the action low so that she's more comfortable with using her fretting hand in this new and unfamiliar way.
