Like in another post (poll) I just answered, Pick--since 1972--gray Dunlop nylons .73mm Number please and thank you.
Every song on my soundclick page is pick-done. May not be to everyone else's taste but I sure have fun playing them!

Got a bunch of new picks from Picksgalore today, and the ones from Planet Waves seems pretty darn good!
Anyone else tried these ones out? Got rubber for grip...

Yeah, I was given a pack of the charcoal ones a while back. They were weak at the edge of the design, used them for a day and they kinda cracked and got wimpy. YMMV

I'm mainly a pick player, I sometimes get a lot of fret buzz/unwanted harmonics if I'm using a pick and really going for it. I've tried adjusting the action but I still seem to get the same result.

It's not too much of a problem, but can get a bit annoying as it can kill the note a bit and stop it ringing out. This is mainly on my low 'E' by the way, anyone else get this/know how I can get round it?

Cheers

Picks are really great for some tunes. Can't play Sabotage without one. I've become a big fan of the Clayton Cork Grip picks. I love to dig in when I play with a pick, and these things are great for holding on. I used to wrap the ends of my picks in medical tape for extra grip, but these are just more comfortable than anything else.

Hey mrbass02---------how about some numbers for honorary members just so we can point them out to the uninitiated who think nobody of famous caliber uses/used a pick (yes there are many), like Sir Paul or the most recorded bassist of all time, Carol Kaye, etc etc.

I mostly play with my fingers, but on occasion I'll use a pick to get a different attack. When I use a pick, it's typically a National or Dunlop thumb pick, especially the National.
