To me it sounded like a galloping horse from far away.Really lousy sound.I know a Jazz 24 sounds alot better than this.

+1. There are hundreds of similar videos on You Tube. Also, as is often quoted here " there is no such thing as "right" technique", though I admit it looks awkward.

It works for him doesnt it? I mean he is playing fingerstyle in other vids.

However the application of that technique is questionable.

I'd like to know what the mods think of threads like this. With all due respect to the OP, I think it is a little disrespectful, given that the guy may have no chance to speak for himself. Also, he may very well be a member of this forum. Way to welcome a new guy...

Now that I've seen the video, once again, I'd like to see Muusers post his own stuff. That would be more meaningful.

The dude in the video achieved something that's different - maybe that's what he's going for. The song he's playing to isn't a style I truly appreciate, his style actually made it more rather than less interesting to me. I sure have heard things I disliked more.

Of course, I'm speaking from the point of view of plankton.
