Not only is he playing with only one hand, but his tone is AWESOME!

It's a very inspiring vid, does anyone know what kind of bass that is?

That's Bill Clements. That video has been bounced around here for a while. The guy is pretty amazing. Not many players with 2 hands can pull off those licks.

I don't even know Bill but I think he's amazing Jauqo III-X is pretty tight with him if I remember correctly. I'm pretty sure Bill is more popular than Jesus here on talkbass.

I put together a Talk Bass GTG last year. I asked Jauqo to give a clinic. He told me hes going to invite Bill to the show. I had no idea who the guy was until I looked him up on the net. Just from the videos I saw I was impressed. So the GTG comes around he plays with Jauqo. I was floored. He told me that he played bass before the accident. I wish Id heard him before that. Im sure it took a bit of uhm adjustment to play that way. Say what you will. THe man has overcome a handicap. I dont mean to use that word but its the only way I could describe it. If i lost an arm or fingers. Id probably just give up. But he didnt!!! After the GTG i had a chance to jam with. I dont know how I did it. IT was not easy keeping up with him. And of course being a bass player, hes a cool guy.

How about I moderate this forum? Take any disagreements to PM or email, and keep discussions on topic. I see no real harm in starting another thread about this guy....sure, it's been talked about to death here, but do you search out every topic you start a thread about?

I'm going to delete the whole cat-fight between you guys. See that it doesn't start up again.
