OMG I CAN'T DO SLAP BASS!

I try to slap bass but every time i try it on any string but the E string it hits the E string! It's annoying and im startin to get kinda pissed hehe. Do you guys got any tips for slap bass? Or know anywhere online where i can get some good starter bass lessons for free?

What do you mean you hit any string and it hits the e string?

slapping takes a while to get down, just be patient about it.

When I started I looked at some vids on YouTube.
If Marlowe is too much, I suggest something like Kyle Sheppard on Expert Village.

Yeah, that happened to me too when I started slapping. Just get your metronome, set it to a slow tempo, and start to hit the string in quater notes, then go faster and faster on every string.

Well, I bet that's what you're supposed to do, but I learned a different way.

So yeah, I'm kind of impatient to learn stuff on bass, so I just got a RCHP song (Jungle Man) and tryed to play it without doing what I said before (about the metronome). I went developing my technique little by little, and got accuracy.

To tell the truth, I don't play half bad...
