| Pain in my ring finger

I've been playing guitar today and It started to hurt the upper joint (right below the nail) of my ring finger. It doesn't hurt unless I play and the longer I play the more it hurts. And when I grab my finger and wiggle it, the base of it begins to hurt. Has anyone ever felt this before I hope it only lasts a day.
