Hello everyone. I jsut got a shortscale bass, which makes me want to play a lot of Beatles tunes. Does anyone know what Paul's normal playing style was?
Paul had many playing styles, but usually plays with a pick. He used a thinner pick to get a softer sound, and used a harder pick to get harder sounds. A good tune to try would be "Taxman" or "Something".
There's a guy on youtube that NAILS mac's tone and style, you could watch his vids. There's also an instructional vid by mac himself, also on youtube...
I seriously feel like such a douchebag. I openly and sincerely apologize to everyone on this board for forgetting that Paul was a lefty. I also thank you for not even really being that harsh considering what a stupid comment that was. Sorry again. And thanks for the other response as well.
Isn't Paul McCartney actually right handed? I think he just plays bass and guitar Left Handed.
No, it was just a rumour!
