Yep, after all those picks, my favorite are the Big Stubbies as well. I like the slightly more flexible 1.0mm though.

Those felt picks are weird. And CHUNKY. lol.

Both! It's good to be versatile.

Ever play bass just after picking your nose? If the booger's pretty dry, the strings feel silkier and a little faster. No joke. But it doesn't last long.

That's what this stuff does!

(Actually, it does the opposite - makes your fingers stickier to picks. Some guitarists really like it.)

I like the thicker one because the sounds you can produce are a bit more thicker sounding. With the thicker one, if you hold the pick to let your thumb also hit the string a bit, it makes a more old-school sound that I use alot. That sound's a bit tougher to produce with a softer pick, although the actual act of picking is a bit easier. Actually, that's why I like the stubbie picks - the play faster like a thinner pick, but still let me get the 'thunkier' sounds that I like with a heavier pick.

I agree. One thing I noticed after testing all those picks was that the ones with tapered edges such as the Big Stubby played faster in general (as opposed to a "flat" pick... simply stamped out of a sheet of material), particularly at thicker weights. The tapered edge just seems to let go of the string just that little bit faster that makes the difference.

I'll go back and try the 2.0 Stubby again next time I have the opportunity to use a pick.
