Pick ideas?

I've been using a wedgie rubber pick for my bass on certain songs. It gives the nice 'finger' sound but sheds dust underneath my strings. Is there an alternative pick out there that is soft but does not shed?

I posted this in a different threat, but it's relevant:

Try holding your finger and thumb as if you were holding a pick and plucking using the nail and/or pad of your forefinger as the plectrum.

Bernard Edwards of Chic used this technique when playing the Bass line to "Everybody Dance" - he called it "chucking" - you can see it demoed on:

Saves on Buying Plectrums :-)

And I thought I was the only one that used a fingernail as a pick! Works for me!
