Pick Laminating (the use of two picks at once)

In the clip is a short video on Pick Laminating, (the name I have use for it for over 30 years). But as usual, in these situation of technique, I cannot be the only player that has used this pick technique, so I am looking for more or better info on using it.

http://youtu.be/M2Wfhf10Fhg

I have in the past made picks of various thicknesses and materials, either held freely as in the video or held together with a spot of glue on the back to stabilise them, but not in this video.
One of the best laminates I done used five extra thins, 2 nylon, 3 smooth plastic glued at the back, the difference in tone and attack was similar to that of sticks and brushes on drum.

Has any one else experimented with this idea and if so what were the best laminates you made up?
