Is Pick-Slide possible on Bass Guitar without Pick?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm a finger Bass Guitar player, but I want to do Pick-Sliding (Electric Guitar technique where you hold the pick and slide it down the several string at the same time, making a Metal-ish sound) on bass guitar without using a pick.

I tried to do it with my nails, but it's no good. Is it possible?

Your nails honestly are your best chance to do it without using a pick.

If you wanna do it so bad, just use a pick. :\

As mentioned, nails but you may need to turn up your treble + mids too.

You can try your teeth but you might get bleedy lips or electrocutonized

yea I think so too. I tried it with the treble up, but then that makes way too much noises when I play...

but I guess I have to take out a pick every time I try to do it

You could wear a ring... shouldn't get in the way of your playing and will give an aggressive sound.
