I am having trouble playing this and keeping it solid, its very frustrating

Any thoughts, it a quick but simple line, or should at least be...

Finger style btw

I think this one is just a matter of practice. I remember seeing an interview with John Taylor back when it first came out and I'm pretty sure that he admitted to using a pick to play it live early on until he got better.

It's not that hard to get it fairly solid if you use a pick. I wouldn't even dream of trying it fingerstyle.

It's not often easy to get a John Taylor bassline down totally solid, because he was a very solid player!!
