Play like "Ryan Martinie"

Anyone know any technique to perfect the triple tabbing(or whatever it's called) and triple thumbing used by Mudvayne bassist Ryan Martinie?

For tabbing i don't know how to get a good sound withit, and the thumbing i rarely hit 3rd string clearly.

i believe you need to play a Thumb NT straped realy really high, and paint your self green. maybe a fake bullet hole in the head. oh yeah, and i believe he strikes the strings with his finger tips in a percussive way. Like Infect said. it is in an older BP mag. i will look and see if i can find it tonight

What bass magazine would have description of his technique?

Anyway i normally play bass not that upright, so is there any other way to do 3 notes without using picks? because in my band we kinda go from that straight to slap and pop.

He usually strikes the strings hard near or on the neck itself for the percussive sound, sometimes striking individual strings with with index, middle at the same time or act like he's holding a pick and strum for the chords and double stops. He also tends to use high action on his bass though with low string tension if that helps anything. He doesn't really slap all that often most of it is just a percussive finger-style. Watch some live videos with him, it helps out a good amount to figure it out

He slapped alot in the first album, but in the 2nd and 3rd he always do the percussive tabbing.

anyway what do u mean by high action? I'm quite new to the bass(7 months) so i don't alot of technical words lol

high action refers to the height of the strings on your bass, meaning how much distance is between the strings and the fretboard. You can adjust it to lower or raise it via the bridge, setting the height really low is called "low action", setting the height pretty high is "high action".

I found out that when he play three not he thumb on the fretboard. When he is tapping, he is tapping two notes, by slap one string and tap with his index on another string on the fretboard.
