Playing Backwards

A fun and interesting thing to do, is to play your favourite basslines backwards. Transcribe the part backwards, with all rests, and everything, and you get some pretty wild results. An easy one that I did was "let's work" by Prince.

And orchestra teacher I had a while back had me do this on a quiz for upright bass. It definitely brings some interesting results.

The trick is putting the attack on the end of the note instead of the beginning.
