Playing fretless

Sign in to disble this ad
I've been playing a fretless bass for seven years now. In all these years of playing the fretless I've been relying on my ears and guts and just played whatever came to me, all on the same bass and trying to make it sound good and be reliable to my band mates etc. Now I realize I have never really studied the fretless for real, I just played whatever was on and asked no questions. I'd like to change it now, for it seems interesting to me now and I've also got some time for it, to try and learn some advanced strictly fretless E-bass techniques. So I'm asking you all if you know of any online material which would point me in that direction. Thanks!

I've been playing only fretless for seven years. A year ago I took the double bass but I only practice it home, I still don't play gigs with it. As for the E-bass the thing is I don't own a fretted 5-stringer and since my frertless has 5 strings I miss the low string too much if I play 4-string bass, and also I need to repair a few things on my old basses.
