Playing Outdoors - Humidity - Sticky Fingers

Sign in to disble this ad
I always have issues with my fingers feeling "sticky" when playing outdoors. Even if I wash my hands carefully after set-up and use a towel to dry off my fingers every couple of songs. Not like dripping sweaty hands, just a tacky feeling and trouble moving freely/quickly on both plucking hand and fingering hand.

I have an outdoor gig coming this Friday. Any suggestions?

Just a touch of corn starch, before playing.
It will dry out your hands and not affect your strings in a negative way.

In one of my current gigs I'm very phyisicial on stage and sweat a bit.

Trust me, it works.

You might try cleaning/polishing your bass neck/fret board/strings to remove all the dirt/oil/dead skin.
