Playing "The Tourtoise and the Hare" without a high C-string

The band I am in plays a lot of jazz and jazz fusion. Anyway, we are going to start playing a couple of Yellowjackets tunes. One of them is called the Tortoise and the Hare.

I don't own a 6-string bass (yet), but I think I can hit the high notes by using a capo to transpose the natural harmonics. This way I can play my part quickly without being slowed down by the need to use artificial harmonics. What do you think? Is there a more efficient way to do this?
