Plucking hand injury

Sign in to disble this ad
Whatsup - I hurt my right (plucking) hand, specifically the ring finger about a year ago. I played bass for a super long time that day, after not playing it for several years, and felt a strain... later that night I opened a bottle of beer and felt a pop in the finger. I went to the doctor and he did an MRI etc, and said there was no structural damage, and that it was simply a matter of "pain management" - and that I could cause no more damage. It is functional now, but I can feel a click after I use it a lot, and definitely isn't quite "right". I kind of don't know what to do next. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience or has any words of advice, directions they could point me, etc...

Thanks!
Paul

Proper warm-up and stretching, and don't go for a marathon after not running in several years. If it's not giving you problems anymore, though, I'm sure there's nothing to be worried about. Just be a little more careful from here on out.
