Thumbs up

I have always been partial to the C# on the E string. And probably the minor blues that goes with it.

I'm partial to 9 chords above the 12 fret, 1 - 5 - 9 shapes. Especially on a six.

+1 to be sure. I have always been captivated by the dark, mysterious sounds that minor chords and scales can produce . . .

I gotta agree with this one, for some reason this is the most resonant chord on the bass for me.

I like the Badd9 chord you find by stapling two fifths over each other (B-F#-C#). Works best over minor but also over major because you don't play the third.

Then I have a thing for 13 chords - Eb13 sounds great:

G: --17--
D: --17--
A: --16--
E: --11-- (play this with your thumb on the fretboard)

Also the A13 chord utilizing the 9th fret harmonics on the A and D strings and the 12th fret on the G string and you playing an A below that sounds cool. It's also cool to replace that A with an open E so you get a nice Em69...

I've always loved the sound of the low D (on the B-string).

How about the low D, the 5th fret harmonic on the G string, 4th fret harmonic on the D, and 5th fret harmonic on the A?

Harmonics and close harmonies make an excellent combination.
