problem reverting back to finger style?

im struggling to get going with my fingers again, after playing with a pick for a while due to breaking my thumb, played with a pick for bout a year just never switched bk and now just having probs with getting my timing back, any practice tips? that could help? or is it just alot of practice that i need ?

Practice is probably just what you need, yes. Start slow, and work up your speed and precision from there. You'll get the timing back!

that is my biggest fear in bassplaying!!!

I always played fingerstyle, but sometimes a pick would be very handy, we recorded our album last month, and we barely had no time to learn the song, they are so ****** fast, I couldnt play it properly by fingerstyle, so I grabbed a pick for all the bassparts (shame on me..., whateva), now, I have to learn all the song in fingerstyle, but I'm on the way, just start slowly, and working with a mertronome is always recomended, if you wanna regain your speed!

yeh i dnt own 1 really should get 1! not got round to it after my last 1 broke, thanks for the help,

sure pick is easier but also you can get a few really good tones with a pick ill still gonna use 1 for chords and stuff.
