Protest the Hero- Bloodmeat tapping fill

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys! I'm learning Bloodmeat by Protest the Hero, and I've got everything down except that frickin fill at the end of the tapping section. I tried learning it by ear, like I did with the rest of the song, but it goes by too fast. I can't find any decent tabs for it either.

Can anyone help me out?

The song can be found on their myspace, and the part is at about 2:45. The unmastered bass track is also here, and the part comes in just after 2:47.

That part isn't too bad:

G:------------------------8-10-12--------------------7-9-10-|
D:----------------8-10-12---------------------7-9-10--------|
A:--------8-10-12-----------------------7-9-10--------------|
E:8-10-12------------------------7-9-10---------------------|

If you haven't yet, go learn Palms Read, it's my favorite bass line to play.

Hey thanks! That's not the part though. I got that. Listen closely at those times I mentioned. He does something fast and I think partially arpeggiated.

I know the part you mean. It's at the end of the tapping section - it's a run down rather than up. I can play everything in Bloodmeat except for that part! When I play, I usually just the fill that someone posted above^.

Aha! I guess I never noticed that before.

Here's my best guess:

D:12-10-8------------------------
A:--------12-10-8----------------
E:----------------12-10-8--------
B:------------------------12-10-8

Its a song I've been able to play for a while, but I've never been able to figure out that part, either. I just wing it when I'm practicing it at home. If you're preforming... Good luck.

That Part goes like this:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------9h-10h-12
---------------------------10h------------------------12--------10h-12----------
-----7h--10p--7h-8h-10s-12-------------------------------10h-12-----------------
--8-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--9-----------------------------------------|-------------------------------|
----12-10-9-10-9-------9--------------------|-------------------------------|
-----------------12-11---12-11-9-11-9-------|--------------------------5h-7-|
--------------------------------------12-10-|--12--1----1----1----1---------|
--------------------------------------------|
