Just got started on Tony Oppenheims "Slap it!" and I have a single question:
The "hammered-on octaves" - is that like tapping? I have a real hard time figuring out to make the hammered-on octave giving away any sound without popping the string.
yeah hammering on is like tapping. tapping those octaves aren't going to sound as loud or have the same sound as a popped octave, that's the point, to be able to make different sounds
