rh position

i see so many bent hands which makes me wonder; shouldn't the rh be as stright as possible, such as when playing piano?

edit: also, wouldn't having your rh bent at at 90 degree (or whatever0 angle cause arthritis and such later on?

A lot of people use the technique of pushing through the strings downward instead of across them and having that angle helps that technique. It's supposed to be the most consistant way to do it, and also the fastest. Raise your hand up in front of you and let your wrist go limp, there's where they get that angle from.

All depends on personal taste.

Strictly from an ergonomic point of view, both wrists should be as straight as possible. Repetitive motion with wrists that are bent or twisted can lead to injuries, in some people.
