Right hand dexterity exercises

Sign in to disble this ad
hey all, im looking for some dexterity exercises for my right hand. i need to build up speed and accuracy in my fingers, i really need to get those two "running" accross my strings as fast as i can.

i play lots of 16th note grooves in a prog band and sometimes shredding. normally i just take my index finger on my right hand and sorta alternate pick with it, sometimes my index and middle finger. but that just isnt cutting it anymore. its not as controlled as using the index and middle separtly. know what im talking about?

help a brother out

there are some good right hand drills in the exercise sticky...check em out.

i just sit down with a metronome and do quarter notes, eighths, then sixteenths up and down each string, alternate, skip strings, improvise, whatever. start out simple and get down the basics, if you do that right, youll make it alot easier on yourself later on with the more complicated stuff.
