They were set to re-release this great instructional video in electronic format back in February, but it looks like it got pushed back to March 15th. Still super stoked that this is going to be available again. I haven't been able to find it anywhere.

That's great news for all the bassists that don't already own this or haven't seen it. The accompanying booklet with the transcriptions is great too.

Can't you just download the thing from his site. I did. Credit card

It is the most brilliant bass video ever released.

Yeah the only thing I see so far on the site for purchase are the extra "practice tracks" that are simply Tower of Power tunes with the bass removed.

There used to be some excerpts up on youtube, in case you want a preview before it's released (again).

Ugh, they pushed it back AGAIN!

Why do I have the sinking feeling that this is just going to be delayed indefinitely

I bought the VHS version last year from Video Progressions, and even that shipment had a few delays. I got the impression that they're just a little mom-and-pop operation. I thought it was pretty ridiculous that they didn't have a DVD version in this day and age.

Any funk bassist or funk wannabe should have this vid in one form or another. Rocco is one of the best.

An awesome video. I've had mine for 13 years. I still go back and check it out.

Will someone please clarify if this is on VHS, DVD, or what? I own the VHS version and would like to have it on DVD.

Neither, it's in electronic format. The emails I got from the folks at Video Progressions said it's in WMV and MP4 formats. I'm sure if you had a DVD burner you could certainly put it on a DVD from there... no clue about the legality of such, probably fine as long as you don't distribute it.
