the "semi-pop"

Ive heard it called so many things from "semi-pop" to "buzz"...its that sound Ryan Martinie produces with his bass like in the intro to Severed and in death blooms(not as obvious, but when when chad is singing "i just want to run...etc etc). How does one do that? thanks

um, im pretty sure he has double-jointed finger... so unless your prepared for some quite drastic surgery your out of luck my man, just try to replicate it somehow. helpful i know

Unless I'm missing something, it sounds to me like he just picks the string really hard with his fingers.
