sequencer, to comp chords

I'd like put together a cheap--er, value-priced--rig to sequence some piano chords. My plan is to just loop some changes (like the cycle, for instance), and practice playing solo lines over top of it. I'd like to play to a click and the changes coming out of the rig, IOW.

Maybe there's a low-end keyboard that would do it? I don't have much keyboard facility, so step programming or quantization would help. I don't need a lot of tracks, or a lot of voices--just a decent grand piano. As you can guess, I don't already have a computer-based recording setup.

Any suggestion much appreciated.
