Shaky fingers.

Hello everyone,

I have a problem keeping my fretting fingers from spazing out whenever I try to relax them, though it's not a frequent occurence, it's rather irritating when it happens as it does when it's most inappropriate . I keep the inactive fingers very close to the strings in a relaxed position so the can be ready to push down on whatever string whenever, but sometimes they'll let out a violent twitch and sound the strings. I play with total body relaxation for maximum ease of playing and it helps greatly to play with little to no tension, but for some reason it's working a little against me. This involuntary tick is really stressing me out as not only my serious playing, but even my practice sessions suffer greatly from it.

Have any of you experienced something like this? If so, what have you done to overcome it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
