I really am terrible about progressive practice, and I don't know a lot of terms.

What does it mean to play "chromatics 1234 whole fretboard , scales, blues 12th"?

My exercises usually are playing the major scale from 0-20 and back down again if I ever do have any practice.

Try the Baker book called "Patterns for Jazz" (i think it's baker) It'll give you plenty more to do than you already are... the trick though is to analyze the patterns so you know what the heck you're doing it for.

I tend to go through etudes and work on legit classical stuff as well as get as basic and as funky as possible with a metronome... and If i'm luck I get some good improv practice in...

... also I play more upright then electric (at least lately) so I generally drill through that stuff and it keeps my fingers movin.

OH!... and I find it insanely fun to end all my scales with plagal cadences... hahaha

what did i say that got censored?... i don't remember writing any owrds that might be considered offensive.. ooh well i might have slipped... sorry all..

I mean I use the patterns in the book to familiarize myself with all kinds of scales, arpeggios, and patterns. It's not just for jazz, jazz just tends to use most everything...

Edit: I just realized i might have misspelled the word "funk" I'll change it now
