Slap It!

Hey, I was wondering if anyone here has read/used the book "Slap It!"? It seems like a good deal at $20 for 100 examples and clips of slap along with instruction, but i was wondering if anyone has it and has an opinion on it? Thanks.

One of the best (if not the best) books on the subject. As simple as that. I have not enough words to recommend it.

Thanks for the response, I'll probably end up ordering it then.

It's definitely a great book, but does take time to get through (that sounded an awful lot like I'm through it...not even close to scratching the surface ) but it has some great exercises to get your chops up to snuff to do what is called for later in the book...or in the beginning for that matter.

I am enjoying working through Slap It!

Many of the examples use the open strings (esp the E) and you may need to adapt some of the licks to play them in different keys...

I feel that is a minor criticism though and would suggest that the key of E is probably the most natural to use for this style.

Get the book - I have had six months fun out of it and am about halfway through the examples.

I've seen some of your videos, Alvaro, and you know a thing or two 'bout slappin'!!!

I have also enjoyed the book...worthy of a spot in your library.
