slap muting

just another quick question...

when slapping and poping how do you mute so you get a nice quick clean sound? and also which hand do you use??

I use my left hand to dampen the strings, I think most players do it that way.

when he says dampenining he bassically means muting , and yeah what he said is bassically it mute or dampen with your fretting hand.

I would recommend the same thing, but if your fretting hand needs to be doing other things, try resting your slapping palm lightly on the string and thumping it as hard as you can, you get a pretty nice 'mute' sound from it
