Slap precision exercise # 3

Sign in to disble this ad
Here we have a slap exercise that has a consistent and constant rhythm throughout. The mutes and nature of the slap are creating a rhythmic feel about the line.

This exercise will give you a good sense of timing if you play it along to a beat or a metronome.

I hope it helps someone.

Hey Dman, love the new blog. You have great videos for beginners, but any chance of diving into more advanced stuff? A few of the premium ones intrigue me but hard to convince myself to spend money on a video that might or might not help me.

Hiya, Tom.

The only things I cover in my premium vids that may interest you is chordal stuff. Like my version of hallelujah, and my song "Snow". Other than that, it's beginner/intermediate based...

Yup, I will be getting onto to advanced stuff. But not yet.

I've done about two years on beginners lessons/lines etc, and I think you've probably noticed i've just started moving onto more intermediate stuff (like these exercises). I'll spend time on these, and then will move onto advanced lessons/exercises. So there will be a wait...

No worries Dman, like I said, your lessons are great and I am sure there are many beginners out there learning a ton! I will say that I am a pretty big fan of your finger funk lines. I'm actually just starting to work my way through those. I'm sure I'll learn something if nothing other than a bunch of funky riffs!
