I have a problem with slapping im not sure if it's just me or my bass . I can't seam to slap louder especially if I play a fast song. I slap with my thumb slightly pointed up with my arm slightly parallel to the neck ( not exactly parallel . My arm points the the grownd around 20 degrees off the neck . My biceps rest on the bass guitar . ( fender p-bass ) . I search the interent for the solution but everyone slaps differnetly .

If you're learning a song in such a style, see if you can find a program to slow it right down without changing the pitch (audacity works for me), going through difficult sections repeatedly until you can play them flawlessly at a slower tempo. Speed up incremently until you can retain a clean technique at faster and faster speeds until you're playing cleanly with the song at full speed. If you're just improvising, same as above but with a metronome.

It can be arduous and infuriatingly repetitive, but it works.
