Slap Suggestions

So, I've been playing for about a year now - fairly casually if I may add - and I want to learn every aspect of playing. Right now, the only technique I'm comfortable with is straight up plucking, so I figured a good place to start would be with slap technique. I've talked to my dad a bit, and gotten some good tips from him, but I thought getting a wide variety of suggestions would be the best way to go - using you guys as teachers. So, any videos, articles, books, or short tips would be much appreciated.

See if you like Marlowe's stuff, I got the double thumb thing down better through checking some of his vids.......he's a pretty cool teacher for this kind of stuff IMO.

That video got me into slapping. No wonder why he's called Thunder Thumb.

Some people are great musicians and great players and then there are some that are just one with their instrument. I think he's one of them. There are plenty of other great, perhaps better, slappers but no one quite like him. I remember hearing the bass break in stomp when it came out and wondering what it was. I'm still not sure.

I watch him and it seems like the video is on double speed. It's funny to me that when he slows it down even he gets confused trying to figure out what he's doing. Not the best instructor, but what a player.
