i know there are other threads out about slapping but i haven't seen anything about this:
i'm trying to learn how to slap but i'm new at it... i have a problem that lots of times when i'm slapping, the knuckles of my other fingers are knocking against the body of my bass. i'm pretty sure that this isn't supposed to be happening.
Practice control, Start Slowly, and practice controlling your thumb to hit only the string you want, and the rest of your hand to not do anything you don't want.
