I have some of the studiobassplayer DVDs. They're good if you already have a grasp on what you're doing. It's like having someone sitting in front of you showing you how to play. No booklets are provided with the DVDs.

I second the Ed Friedland DVD. Ed is a very solid teacher.

If you're interested in Studiobassplayer.com, check out the tread in the General Instruction forum called "The worst video I've ever seen".

One thing that killed me about these DVDs is that the dude always looked like he just woke up.

There's not much in the way of teaching going on. I found that the ones that I have are ok for copping some licks from, but like I said before, you have to have a grasp on what you're doing to get anything from them.

Check out Norm Stocktons "Grooving for Heaven" series. Even if the "church" is not your thing, these DVD's are awsome period. Volumes 2 and 4 have very extensive training in the slap method.

Anthony wellington has a on line class at MusicDojo. levels 1 thru 3. I have level 1 and it was a really good prep for the Wooten slap style.
