Well, i made a thread and left it unattended for a day its closed. Oh well, Anyways can someone tell me some songs that have a good slapping part in them. Pacman, sorry, I really meant to say lines that are impressive rather than ones to show off to people.

You could try and learn the theme for Seinfeld that was why I wanted to start playing slap bass.
Actually, believe it or not, that made me want to start play bass in the first place. (And yes i know its made thru a keyboard).

Off the top of my head:

Slam The Clown -Alain Caron

Stu Hamm's King's of Sleep album

Level 42 stuff

Gary Grainger on John Scofield's Pick Hits Live album

I probably have more and better ones later when I'm offline

RHCP- Aeroplane

Level 42- Lessons in Love

I don't know if they are impressive but they work great in the context of the song (with Aeroplane having lots of non-slapped stuff which are impressive either).

Ok, guys, didn't he say he's just starting out on this slap thing? Lovebrown's got a good one, everyone asks if you can play Sienfeld's theme. RHCP's version of Higher Ground sounds cool and is pretty easy, too.
