Slapping technique question

I've just started going through the "Slap It" book and have a question about proper fingering:

When playing the following 4 notes:

A String - T(3) H(5)
D String - P(3) H(5)

At higher speeds should do you put your 1st and 3rd finger across both strings and just move your right hand or do you move your left hand from the A to D string?

Move your left hand-stay on your finger tips when fretting when possible.
