Question Smashed my knuckle and now I'm finding it hard to play...

OK, I'd appreciate some help on this one. This morning I somehow managed to smash the knuckle and second finger of my left hand underneath a piano lid, and I'm now finding it hard to play.

What the major problem is is that I've temporarily lost the reach of that second finger because any movement with that finger causes me a lot of pain. I tried using my 1st, 3rd and 4th fingers only, but I found this near impossible.

Any ideas on how to correct this? I've got an audition coming up!

Sh*t Happens... I wouldn't push myself to the point of permanantly damaging the finger, It may be as simple as giving it "time" to heal......
