I wasn't bragging about anything. The trem-picking is a standard technique used by many bassists in these sub-genres of metal. What I was doing is making a point that the technique, which you are totally unfamiliar with, may require some physical adjustment beyond the conventional position you are so expert at repeating like a monkey.
There's no end to people like you here at TB either - you get a vendor or moderator stamp, and suddenly you have free reign to troll, flame, and violate the T + C of this board without repercussion. Which is why I refused to renew my supporting membership.
The only revelation I had from this thread was that you're so egotistical you can't admit when you're wrong, and feel a need to go out of your way to insult people that disagree with you.
How mature. Welcome to my ignore list. | I'd think what you said was just as ignorant regardless of whatever stamp you think I have.
What a jackass. |

Now that I look at him standing and sitting, he looks to be holding the bass in pretty much the same position. |

Guys, you're not going to agree on this. Why don't we let the thread speak for itself, and go our separate ways? Let cooler heads prevail...

Now that I look at him standing and sitting, he looks to be holding the bass in pretty much the same position. | Throughout this thread I've tried to make two simple points.
1. As shown in the last pictures, it's possible to play the same way standing and sitting. This consistent approach can be beneficial to some.
2. Despite what some think, it's entirely possible to play seated with a straight wrist.
Anyone reading this thread who hasn't tried this for themself, give it a shot. See if you can't do it too.
The rest of this BS is just that... BS. |

I guess this is bad practice but i would never consider sitting down at a gig unles it was for maybe a slow song where the rest of the band sat as well.
I feel the more the band is active on stage the more the audiance get active on the floor
