Stanley Clarke's technique?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey TBers,

I've just recently gotten into Stanley Clarke and am amazed by some of his accents and how fast he can play. In a lot of cases, I have no idea what the man is doing. I'm hoping someone out there can inform me a little of all that he's doing.

He certainly slaps and pops. I have also read that he pulls the string away from the body so it smacks against the frets, and I've also have seem him playing double stops by fanning all of his fingers down in a single motion. But there's got to be more that he's up to.

Thanks,

Matt
